CipherEngine’s goal is to increase students’ interest and engagement in STEM education, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity and cryptography. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary learning activities integrated into secondary school curricula, the project aims to equip students with essential digital competencies and soft skills. Additionally, the project seeks to raise awareness among students about online threats and empower them to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

A series of activities will be implemented, including online discussions and focus groups to identify gaps in STEM education, development of a toolkit with educational materials tailored to national curricula, training for educators on various activities, and the creation of hands-on educational activities to empower students to recognize and respond to online threats. These activities aim to integrate cybersecurity into secondary school curricula and increase students’ engagement in STEM.

The project expects to produce a toolkit for educators, enhance students’ understanding of cybersecurity, promote interdisciplinary STEM education, and increase awareness of online threats. Additionally, it aims to foster collaboration between educators and cybersecurity experts, empower students with practical skills, and establish local networks for organizing educational events. Ultimately, the project seeks to create a safer online environment and inspire students to pursue STEM careers.
