Communications Specialist/Fundraiser
C.I.P. Citizens In Power (CIP) is a non-profit, educational and research organization. CIP constitutes one of the leading organizations in Cyprus in the fields of global education, social innovation, entrepreneurship, STEM and sustainable growth. CIP aims at designing and implementing pioneering solutions to address deficiencies in education at different levels. To achieve such target, CIP has established an on-going collaboration with leading universities, NGOs and research organizations in Cyprus and abroad; particularly for the materialization of European research projects, international trainings and conferences, as well as for the deployment of innovative educational material such as web platforms, virtual reality tools and other technological innovations.
Job responsibilities
- Research and contact prospective donors, gain insight into their needs and donation habits
- Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage frequent communications
- Draft funding proposals and communicate them with potential sponsors
- Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
- Set financial targets for fundraising activities and create corresponding strategies for reaching them
- Use online platforms to raise donations whilst leveraging technology and social media with the aim to improve fundraising activities
- Organize and coordinate events and campaigns and draft speeches
- Design promotional materials and relevant activities to increase awareness of CIP’s work, goals, and financial needs
- Assist in brainstorming and come up with new methods to raise funds
- Collaborate with other organizations and community groups to establish partnerships and enhance fundraising activities
- Train volunteers
- Promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on CIP’s behalf
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or any other related/applicable area
- At least two years of experience in a fundraising/communications position; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sense of initiative and excellent time management skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Able to perform under pressure, possessing exceptional organizational and presentation skills and attention to detail
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a pc
- Enthusiasm and positive attitude

EU Project Manager-Researcher

- Prepare data collection instruments and collect and analyze data
- Facilitate the organization of workshops and dissemination activities
- Manage projects and offer administrative support for research projects
- Prepare and deliver project presentations
- Represent C.I.P. abroad to various educational events
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- University Degree in any area, preferably from an English-speaking university
- Outstanding use of English and Greek language, both in writing and orally
- Excellent team skills
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to network and represent the organization in conferences and meetings

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Important Note: The availability of extensive traveling constitutes a necessary condition for recruitment in these positions.
Additional Qualifications that will be considered as an advantage
- Have a Masters and/or a PhD in any field
- Experience in managing European Commission funded projects
- Proven knowledge of any of the following fields: (i) Entrepreneurship and Innovation; (ii) Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); (iii) Global Education and Migration

Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, or maintain Web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
- Design and implement Web site security measures, such as firewalls and message encryption.
- Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems
- Research, document, rate, or select alternatives for Web architecture or technologies.
- Incorporate technical considerations into Web site design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, and legal issues including accessibility and privacy.
- Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- University Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or any other relevant field
- Expertise in programming with WordPress CMC, PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SQL.
- Proven experience (portfolio) in web development
- Fluency in English language

Senior Proposal Writer

The organization has a long tradition in designing and preparing successful proposals which are submitted under the context of various European Calls: Erasmus+ (KA2; KA3); Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF); ENI CBC MED; INTERREG; COSME; Horizon Europe. Therefore, the organization is interested in hiring an experienced (Senior) Proposal Writer who will prepare project proposals from scratch with minimum supervision. Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formation of strategies for the organization’s four Departments, on the basis of which the new research proposals will be developed.
