Cyprus’s largest celebration of science, research and innovation returns on Friday, 25 September 2026, at the Cyprus State Fair in Nicosia. This year’s edition marks twenty years of European Researchers’ Night with the theme “CELEBRATE 2.0 – Two Decades of STEAM-Powered Inspiration”, placing the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) at the centre of the programme and highlighting the value of interdisciplinary collaboration.
European Researchers’ Night is one of the European Union’s flagship initiatives for promoting research and innovation, with activities in more than 25 countries and 460 cities across Europe. In Cyprus, the event is organised by the Research and Innovation Foundation, giving the public the opportunity to meet researchers, scientists, academics and innovative entrepreneurs, and to discover how science shapes everyday life.
Visitors will be able to take part in more than 80 interactive activities, including scientific experiments, live demonstrations, workshops, presentations and competitions — an experience that combines learning with entertainment and shows that science is for everyone.
Citizens In Power will once again be present at the event, this year presenting a selection of exhibits from NiMATH – the Nicosia MATHematical Museum, which opens its doors in the coming months. Powered by CIP, NiMATH is Cyprus’s first museum dedicated to experiential, creative and interactive mathematics. Visit our stand for a first look at the hands-on exhibits that will feature in the museum, and to find out how schools, families and groups will be able to organise a visit.
