INTERNSHIP FOR PROGRAMMERS AT CIP

Are you a fourth year student or a Master student in the Department of Computer Science? Are you interested in teaching pioneering training courses about Information and Communications Technology (ICT)? Would you like to help unemployed persons, migrants and refugees to get better integrated in the Cypriot society? Apply to be a trainer at the ICT Training Hotspots!

Information regarding the position:

Part-time internship
Availability: 12 – 18 hours/ week
Duration of internship: 20/08/2019 – 31/12/2019, with the possibility of contract renewal for a year or full-time recruitment at the organisation.
Upon the completion of the training course the organisation CIP will give a certificate to the trainer(s).

Necessary qualifications:
– Excellent knowledge regarding the subjects of the training (3D Modeling [3D Objects], Micro-Controllers, Web-Development, App-Development)
– Undergrad student completing his/her final year of studies at the IT Department or Master’s student studying at the Department of Computer Science (preferably)
– Excellent verbal and written knowledge of the Greek language
– Excellent verbal and written knowledge of the English language
– Presentation and communication skills
– Social skills
– Problem solving skills
– Time-management and ability to adhere to deadlines
– Accountability and integrity

Information regarding the training courses:
The European project KA3 “E-DESIGN – European Digital Education for Social Inclusion and Global Neighbourhood” aims to promote the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups (locals, migrants and refugees) and to combat social inequalities which these groups experience, through strengthening their digital competences in order to enhance their labour market opportunities and social participation. As part of the project E-DESIGN two ICT Training Hotspots will be established, which will be offering free training courses to NEETs, long-term unemployed, migrants and refugees. The trainers will be given an indicative curriculum, which they will be able to tailor according to the needs of the course.

Subjects of the training courses:
1) 3D Modelling (3D Objects)
2) Micro-Controller
3) Web-Development
4) App-Development

Number of participants: 120 persons (15 – 20 persons per course, 16 years old and above)
Duration of training: 40 educational hours per course (4-5 hours per week)
Training period: 09/2019 – 12/2019 (around 10 weeks)

ΠΡΑΚΤΙΚΗ ΑΣΚΗΣΗ ΣΤΟΝ CIP ΓΙΑ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΙΣΤΕΣ/-ΣΤΡΙΕΣ

Είσαι τεταρτοετής φοιτητής/-τρια ή μεταπτυχιακός φοιτητής/-τρια στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής; Ενδιαφέρεσαι να διδάξεις καινοτόμα μαθήματα κατάρτισης με θέμα την Τεχνολογία Πληροφοριών και Επικοινωνίας (ICT); Θα ήθελες να βοηθήσεις ανέργους, μετανάστες και πρόσφυγες να ενταχθούν καλύτερα στην Κυπριακή κοινωνία; Κάνε αίτηση για να γίνεις εκπαιδευτής/-τρια στα ICT Training Hotspots!

Πληροφορίες αναφορικά με τη θέση:
Πρακτική άσκηση με ωράριο μερικής απασχόλησης
Διαθεσιμότητα: 12 – 18 ώρες/ εβδομάδα
Διάρκεια πρακτικής άσκησης: 20/08/2019 – 31/12/2019, με δυνατότητα ανανέωσης για μέχρι και ένα χρόνο ή και μόνιμης πρόσληψης στον οργανισμό.
Μετά την ολοκλήρωση των μαθημάτων κατάρτισης θα δοθεί στον εκπαιδευτή/ στην εκπαιδεύτρια πιστοποιητικό από τον οργανισμό CIP.

Απαιτούμενα προσόντα:
– Εξαιρετικές γνώσεις επί των θεμάτων της κατάρτισης (3D Modeling [3D Objects], Micro-Controllers, Web-Development, App-Development)
– Προπτυχιακός φοιτητής/φοιτήτρια στο τελευταίο έτος των σπουδών του/της στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής ή Μεταπτυχιακός φοιτητής/φοιτήτρια στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής (κατά προτίμηση)
– Άπταιστη προφορική και γραπτή γνώση της Ελληνικής γλώσσας
– Άπταιστη προφορική και γραπτή γνώση της Αγγλικής γλώσσας
– Δεξιότητες παρουσίασης και επικοινωνίας
– Κοινωνικές δεξιότητες
– Δεξιότητες επίλυσης προβλημάτων
– Ικανότητα τήρησης χρονοδιαγραμμάτων και διαχείρισης χρόνου
– Υπευθυνότητα και ακεραιότητα χαρακτήρα

Πληροφορίες αναφορικά με τα μαθήματα κατάρτισης:
Το Ευρωπαϊκό Έργο ΚΑ3 E-DESIGN (European Digital Education for Social Inclusion and Global Neighbourhood) αποσκοπεί στην ομαλή ενσωμάτωση των κοινωνικά ευάλωτων ομάδων (ντόπιων, μεταναστών και προσφύγων) και την καταπολέμηση των κοινωνικών ανισοτήτων που βιώνουν οι ομάδες αυτές, μέσω της ενδυνάμωσης των ψηφιακών τους ικανοτήτων και κατ’ επέκταση της ενίσχυσης της απασχολησιμότητάς τους. Στα πλαίσια του Έργου E-DESIGN θα δημιουργηθούν δύο ICT Training Hotspots, τα οποία θα προσφέρουν δωρεάν μαθήματα κατάρτισης σε άτομα της ομάδας ΝΕΕΤ, μακροχρόνια άνεργους, μετανάστες και πρόσφυγες. Στους εκπαιδευτές θα δοθεί μια ενδεικτική ύλη μαθημάτων, την οποία θα μπορέσουν να προσαρμόσουν ανάλογα.

Θεματικές μαθημάτων κατάρτισης:

2) Micro-Controller
3) Web-Development
4) App-Development

Αριθμός συμμετεχόντων: 120 άτομα κατά τη πρώτη φάση του μαθήματος (15 – 20 άτομα ανά τμήμα, 16 ετών και άνω)
Διάρκεια κατάρτισης: 40 εκπαιδευτικές ώρες ανά μάθημα (4-5 ώρες ανά εβδομάδα)
Περίοδος κατάρτισης: 09/2019 – 12/2019 (για περίπου 10 εβδομάδες)
