Project Manager-Researcher
Dr. Polymnia is a Project Manager and researcher at CIP (STEM department). She has a diverse academic background, ranging from engineering to biomedical sciences. She holds two master’s degrees and a PhD: MEng in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, MSc in Advanced Neuroimaging from University College London (UCL), and a PhD in Bioscience (RVC, University of London). Her PhD research, conducted in collaboration with an industrial partner, focused on the pre-clinical development of an antioxidant compound. Polymnia was awarded a fully funded fellowship from the BBSRC and UCL’s competitive LiDo programme and received the Young Investigator Award from the Bone Research Society for her research work. She has published research papers and presented at conferences throughout her academic and professional career. Polymnia is experienced in project management, having started as a Clinical Project Coordinator and Clinical Trials Officer at an imaging CRO in London. She later became a Clinical Project Manager at the same company after completing her PhD and subsequently worked as an R&D Project Manager in the pharmaceutical sector. During her PhD, Polymnia also worked as a Skills Facilitator, assisting first-year students and supervising summer STEM students, as well as Master’s and final-year students with their dissertations.
